Randall Woolsey
Really talented metal sulptor who transform recycled metals into powerful works of art.
Meet Randall Woolsey
Randall Woolsey is a sculptor based in Ogden, Utah, specializing in life-sized reclaimed metal sculptures that celebrate the beauty of animals and nature. Raised on a farm surrounded by horses, chickens, goats, and other animals, Randall developed a deep appreciation for the natural world early in life - an influence that remains at the heart of his artistic vision.
With over a decade of experience as a professional welder, Randall has
contributed to a wide range of industrial and architectural projects, including aerospace components, rollercoasters, and custom installations such as staircases, handrails, and fire mantles. This hands-on expertise laid the groundwork for his evolution into metal sculpture, where he now transforms salvaged scrap and rusted materials into expressive, large-scale animal forms.
Randall's creative journey began in childhood through drawing and continued through high school, where he studied art, jewelry, and poetry. Today, his work merges technical precision with artistic expression, breathing new life into discarded metal through forms that are both familiar and striking.
In 2025, Randall's work received major recognition at the Utah State Fair, earning 1st Place, Best in Show, and the Grand Prize across the entire art exhibition.
