Meet Heidi Olson

Heidi Olson has always loved art, but as a full-time educator, she would set aside her passion for painting. While teaching elementary education, Heidi met her wonderful husband, Peter. They tried to grow their family by adopting, but endured two last-minute rejections. As they thought their ability to have children seemed to have passed, Heidi was able to get pregnant.

Artwork is filled with chaos that brings beauty, and that has been Heidi’s experience with having her son. After eight months of an emotional pregnancy, Heidi was flown from Utah to Stanford Children’s Hospital to have an emergency C-Section for Archer Calvin Olson. Their son was a very sick boy and had to spend the next eight months in the NICU. During these chaotic months, Heidi experienced and saw many miraculous events and many devastating events. Ultimately, Archer would find peace and pass away.

Life is fraught with great turbulence, which can bring hope and peace. During Heidi’s darkest moments after her son had passed, one of Heidi’s good friends invited her to participate in a paint night. Amongst the turmoil of mourning, Heidi found peace and hope while she painted the Red Hibiscus. From this life-changing moment, Heid wants to share what she felt with others through her artwork.

Heidi would take her renewed love of painting and pursue it full-time. She is currently taking the renowned Milan Art Institute’s Mastery Program. Heidi’s style is mixed media. She likes to intertwine her love of the mountains, animals, loved ones, and her travels into her paintings. Like the chaos from her life, she wants to share hope, peace, joy, and beauty she has found in doing multimedia painting.

Heidi hopes that you will enjoy each art piece she has presented and that you can find peace, joy, and hope.

Thank you for taking the time to appreciate Heidi Olson Art.
